The short version

These terms are the rules for using Youth Sports Axis. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. The main points:

• Adults only. You must be 18 or older.
• Your content is yours. You give us permission to show it on the site, and you’re responsible for what you post.
• Public pages stay kid-free. No identifiable children on public pages.
• Youth sports only. Everything here must be about youth sports, or we may remove it.
• Members deal directly with each other. We are a directory and a community, not a party to any sale, registration or event, and we don’t vet anyone.
• Paid listings renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime, and ask for a refund within 7 days of any charge.
• We can remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
• Something wrong? Use our Report or Remove Content page.

Who can use Youth Sports Axis

You must be 18 or older. The site is for parents, coaches, trainers, directors and other adults involved in youth sports. It is not for children, and we don’t knowingly allow anyone under 18 to have an account. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will close it.

Your account

• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person, one account. Don’t pretend to be someone else or to represent an organization you aren’t connected to.
• Tell us right away at he***@*************is.com if you think your account has been misused.

Your content

You own what you post: listings, logos, posts, comments, photos and anything else you upload. You are responsible for it.

By posting, you give Youth Sports Axis a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display and share your content as part of running the site, including showing public content to anyone and letting search engines index it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other members have already shared and backups that haven’t yet been overwritten.

You promise that you have the right to post what you post, that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark or privacy, and that it is accurate and not misleading. That includes logos: only upload a logo you own or have permission to use.

Photos and children

We want parents to feel safe here.

• Public pages must not show identifiable children. That covers listings, the public activity feed, public forums, and profile and group covers and photos. Don’t post a child’s photo, name or contact details where anyone can see them. Logos, fields, gear, coaches and other adults are fine.
• Photos and videos can’t be uploaded to the public activity feed or public forums. Share text and links there.
• Groups may share photos. Post only photos of your own child, or photos where the child’s parent has agreed. The group’s admin sets and enforces the group’s rules, and everything you post in a group is visible to its members, who can copy it. If a group is public, what you post there is public and the rule against identifiable children applies in full.
• Found something that shouldn’t be there? Email he***@*************is.com with the subject Child safety, or use our Report or Remove Content page. We look at these first.

Listings and what Claimed means

• Free and paid listings. Anyone with an account can create a free listing. Paid listings add features, which are described on the plan page.
• Be accurate. Only list a real team, club, tournament, camp, training, event or job, and keep it up to date. Don’t list an organization you aren’t connected to.
• Claimed. A listing with this label was created by its owner or claimed through our claim process. It does not mean we have checked who the person is, or vetted, licensed, insured, background-checked or endorsed anyone. Claim a listing only if you are authorized to run it.
• Unclaimed listings. Listings that haven’t been claimed may have been created by someone other than the owner, and may be wrong or out of date. If one is yours, claim it from the listing page, or ask us to correct or remove it.
• We can edit or remove listings. We may hide, correct or remove a listing that breaks these terms, is inaccurate, or is reported and verified as a problem.

Paid listings, renewal and refunds

• What you get. The plan page shows each plan’s features and price. Features and prices can change. If a change adds to a plan, nothing else is needed. If a change removes something from a plan you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you, and you can cancel and get a refund for the unused time.
• Automatic renewal. Paid listings renew automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout until you cancel. If we change a plan’s price, we will email you before the new price applies to your next renewal.
• Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe through our checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
• Cancel anytime. Cancel from your profile page. Once you cancel, your listing won’t renew.
• Refunds. If you were charged and didn’t mean to be, email he***@*************is.com within 7 days of any charge and we will refund it.
• When a paid listing ends. Paid features, such as the photo gallery and social links, may be hidden or removed, and the listing returns to the free version. A listing’s main image may remain visible.

Marketplace Ads, events and dealing with each other

Youth Sports Axis is a directory and a community. Members contact each other and make their own arrangements: buying and selling gear, joining a team, signing up for a camp or tournament, hiring a trainer, applying for a job. We are not a party to any of these, and no payment for them goes through our site. We don’t hold money, guarantee a sale or an event, or resolve disputes between members.

• Marketplace Ads. Don’t list stolen goods, weapons or anything illegal. Don’t list recalled products. Selling recalled items, including used safety gear like helmets, is against the law.
• Be careful. Check people and offers yourself before you pay, share personal details or let a child take part.
• Contact tools. Use the Contact buttons and messages to reach other members. Don’t use them to spam, harass or scam anyone.

Rules for using the site

Don’t:

• Post anything illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers a child.
• Post spam, scams, fake listings or misleading claims, including claiming a listing or an organization you aren’t authorized to represent.
• Impersonate anyone, or use another organization’s name or logo without permission.
• Post other people’s personal information, or share private messages without permission.
• Upload anything that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or privacy.
• Collect other members’ information, scrape the site, or use bots or automated tools to create accounts, send messages or copy listings.
• Interfere with the site’s security or operation, or try to get into accounts or areas that aren’t yours.

Youth sports only

Everything on Youth Sports Axis must be about youth sports. That covers listings, posts, comments, discussions, groups, blog posts and ads. Ads for things unrelated to youth sports are not allowed.

We decide what is on topic. We may remove anything that isn’t, at our discretion, with or without notice. We don’t have to monitor the site, and we aren’t responsible for what members post.

Reporting, removal and suspension

• Report a problem. See something that breaks these rules or isn’t about youth sports? Use the Report option where you see it. For copyright, trademark, privacy and child-safety reports, use our Report or Remove Content page.
• We verify reports. We check a report before acting on it, and a report alone is not proof. We may decide no action is needed, and we can’t promise a set timeline.
• We can act. We may remove or hide content, warn a member, suspend or close an account, or remove a listing, including without notice when we think it’s needed to protect someone or the site. We don’t have to monitor the site, and we aren’t responsible for what members post.
• Repeat offenders. We close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe others’ rights.
• Bad-faith reports. Reports made in bad faith may lead to action against the reporter’s account.
• Think we made a mistake? Email he***@*************is.com and explain.

Our content, maps and illustrated images

• Our content. The site’s design, text, logo, name and other material we create belong to Youth Sports Axis. You may view and share links to the site, but don’t copy or reuse our material without permission. Members’ content belongs to the members who posted it.
• Illustrated and AI-generated images. Images on our own pages and blog posts may be illustrations or AI-generated, and are not photographs of real people unless we say so.
• Maps. Maps on the site are provided by Google. When you load a map, you agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Map content belongs to Google and its providers, and you may not copy, scrape or reuse it outside the site.
• Other services. Payments are handled by Stripe, and some links lead to other websites. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them.

Disclaimers

• As is. The site is provided as it is and as available. We don’t promise it will always work, be error-free or be available.
• We don’t vet or endorse listings. Listings and member content come from members. We don’t check, license-check, background-check, endorse or guarantee any team, club, coach, trainer, director, camp, tournament, event, job or member, and information may be wrong or out of date. Do your own research before you sign up, pay, hire or let a child take part.
• Sports carry risk. We don’t run, supervise or insure any activity listed on the site, and we aren’t responsible for any injury, loss or event involving one.
• Not professional advice. Content on the site, including blog posts, is general information and not medical, legal or financial advice.

Limits of liability and your responsibility

• Our liability. To the extent the law allows, Youth Sports Axis isn’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for anything members post or do. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
• Your responsibility. If your content or your use of the site causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.

Ending your account

You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing he***@*************is.com. Cancel any paid listing first, from your profile page, so it doesn’t renew. We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms. Parts of these terms that are meant to last, like the limits on our liability and your responsibility for your content, continue after your account ends.

Changes and general terms

• Changes. When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we will email members or post a notice on the site. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
• The whole agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Youth Sports Axis about the site.
• If part doesn’t hold up. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
• No waiver. If we don’t enforce a rule right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.

Privacy Policy

The short version

Youth Sports Axis is a community directory for adults in youth sports: parents, coaches, trainers and directors. Here is what matters most:

• No ads. Ever. We don’t run ads, we don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use ad trackers or social media pixels.
• Cookies are minimal. We use only the cookies the site needs. Maps load only if you click Load Map or turn on Maps & Location.
• Adults only. The site is for people 18 and older.
• A few providers help us run the site. They are listed below, along with what each one receives.

What we collect

• Your account. Email, first name, optional last name, username, profile type and password. Your password is stored in a protected (hashed) form.
• What you add to the site. Profile details, posts, comments, group and forum content, and anything you upload.
• Listings you create or claim. Organization name, location, description, contact details, links and logo. Listings are public.
• Messages. Private messages, and messages you send through a Contact button or popup (your name, email and message).
• Paid listings. Your billing details are entered into Stripe’s secure form. We keep a record of what you bought, when, the amount and your subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
• Search. The places and keywords you type into search, used to show results.
• Points and badges. If you earn points or badges for activity on the site, we store them with your account.
• Technical data. Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. Our hosting, security and spam-protection tools process this to keep the site running and safe.

How we use it

• To run the site: accounts, listings, search, groups, forums and messages.
• To deliver the messages you send, and to email you about your account, listings, billing and notifications you’ve asked for.
• To process payments for paid listings and keep invoice records.
• To keep spam and abuse out and the site secure.
• To review reports, enforce our Terms and respond to takedown requests.
• To meet legal obligations.

We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only in these ways:

• The public. Listings and anything you post in public areas can be seen by anyone, and search engines may index it.
• Listing owners. When you use a Contact button or popup, the listing owner receives your name, email and message so they can reply.
• Other members. Private messages go to the people you send them to. Group content is visible to that group’s members.
• Service providers. These companies help us run the site and receive only what they need:
  • Web hosting provider: hosts the site and its data.
  • Content delivery and caching providers: speed up the site and serve some of its files and scripts, so they see your IP address.
  • CleanTalk: spam protection. It checks visits and form submissions and receives details such as IP address, email, what you submit and how the form is filled in.
  • Stripe: payment processing for paid listings. Stripe’s scripts load on pages across the site to help detect fraud.
  • Google: maps and fonts, but only after you click Load Map or turn on Maps & Location.
  • Email delivery provider: sends our emails.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, to protect someone’s safety, or to enforce our Terms.
• A change in ownership. If Youth Sports Axis is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner. We will tell you first.

Cookies and similar technologies

What we use

• Essential cookies. They keep you logged in, remember your cookie choice and let the site work. You can’t turn these off.
• Spam protection. CleanTalk may set a cookie and checks how forms are filled in to tell people from bots.
• Payments. Stripe may set its own cookie when its scripts load.
• Maps (optional). Maps load only after you click Load Map or turn on Maps & Location. Your browser then connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Google Fonts load with the map.

What we don’t use

• No analytics cookies.
• No advertising cookies.
• No social media pixels.

Your choices. Use the cookie button on any page to change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working.

Messages, groups and member content

• Public areas (listings, the public activity feed, public forums) can be seen by anyone, including people who aren’t members.
• Groups. What you post in a group is visible to that group’s members. Members can copy or share it, so post only what you’re comfortable with.
• Private messages. We don’t routinely read them. We may look at one to investigate a report, to enforce our Terms, or if the law requires it.
• Other people’s information. Don’t post personal details about other people. Public pages must not show identifiable children.
• Reports. Members can report other members and content (posts, comments, groups, forum posts, photos and videos.) with the Report option, or email he***@*************is.com about anything else. Reports go into a moderation queue. We verify a report before acting on it, and a report alone is not proof. We may decide no action is needed, and we can’t promise a set timeline.

Payments

Paid listings are processed by Stripe through our checkout. You enter your card details into Stripe’s secure form, and they go to Stripe, not to us. We keep invoice and subscription records: what you bought, when, the amount and whether the plan is active. Stripe’s handling of your data is covered by Stripe’s privacy policy. Renewal and cancellation terms are shown at checkout.

Adults only and children

Youth Sports Axis is for people 18 and older. It is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will delete it. If you think a minor has an account, or a child’s information or photo appears on a public page, tell us at he***@*************is.com and we will act on it.

How long we keep data

• Account and profile data: while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize it.
• Messages and posts: until you delete them or your account is deleted. Content you shared with others may remain in their copies.
• Invoices and payment records: as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute purposes.
• Reports and moderation records: we keep a record of each report (who made it, the reason, any note and the date) as long as needed to enforce our rules and resolve disputes.
• Security, hosting and spam-check data: short periods, set by our hosting and spam-protection providers.
• Backups: deleted data may stay in backups for a limited time before it is overwritten.

Your choices and rights

• See and change your information. Edit your profile and account settings any time.
• Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion. Email he***@*************is.com from the address on your account. We reply within 45 days.
• Notifications. Change which emails you get in your account settings.
• Cookies. Use the cookie button on any page.
• California and other states. Residents of states with privacy laws can ask what we hold about them, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask us not to sell or share it. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.

No ads, no selling, and Do Not Track

We don’t run ads and we never will. We don’t sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we don’t track you across other websites. Because we don’t build advertising profiles, we handle Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals the same way as every other visit: we don’t track you either way.

Security

The site uses HTTPS to encrypt data in transit. Passwords are stored in hashed form, and card payments are handled by Stripe. No website can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we will also email members or post a notice on the site.
